The Good Oil Company believes in conducting business in a manner that protects the Earth, conserves resources and does not compromise the quality of life of future generations.
Palm oil is the most productive oil crop in the world. It can yield an average of 5,000kg per hectare of crude oil or nearly 6,000 liters. This is significantly higher than any other oil crops, therefore saving additional land clearing for the same amount of oil.
Our red palm oil is sustainably harvested from Malaysia, the “Palm Oil Capital of the World”. Despite rapid growth in the palm oil industry, cultivation of palm oil constitutes only 11% of the country’s total land mass. Most of these lands are converted from former rubber, cocoa and coconut cultivation, and no rainforest land has been used since 1990.
From 1990-2000, Malaysia has managed to improve the forested area in the country from 74% |

to about 82% out of the total land area(1). A large
percentage of this forest land is protected and serve as natural habitats for wildlife. Every bottle of Premium Red Palm Oil is harvested with sustainable farming techniques that protect and restore the ecological balance of the land set forth by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, a
group whose members include growers, processors and environmentalists.
For example, most of the wastes from our palm oil are used as energy renewable resources. Empty fruit bunches waste are used for mulching and palm oil mill effluent as fertilizers. The adoption of zero burning during replanting ensures not only an environment free from smoke pollution but also capable of producing organic matter. This allows palm oil growers to focus on natural fertilizers like biomass from old trees and palm stems. Furthermore, as a sequester of carbon dioxide, palm oil trees can be considered a carbon credit under the Kyoto Protocol.
